Stop Safeguarding Now Coalition Forum - Terms of use
1. By accessing “Stop Safeguarding Now Coalition Forum” (hereinafter “we”, “us”, “our”, “Stop Safeguarding Now Coalition Forum”, “https://stopsafeguardingnow.org.uk/forum”):
1.1) You agree to be legally bound by the following terms. If you do not agree to be legally bound by all of the following terms then please do not access and/or use “Stop Safeguarding Now Coalition Forum”. We may change these at any time and we’ll do our utmost in informing you, though it would be prudent to review this regularly yourself as your continued usage of “Stop Safeguarding Now Coalition Forum” after changes mean you agree to be legally bound by these terms as they are updated and/or amended.
2) Our forums are powered by phpBB (hereinafter “they”, “them”, “their”, “phpBB software”, “www.phpbb.com”, “phpBB Limited”, “phpBB Teams”) which is a bulletin board solution, (that we call a forum), released under the “GNU General Public License v2” (hereinafter “GPL”). The phpBB software only facilitates internet based discussions; phpBB Limited is not responsible for what we allow and/or disallow as permissible content and/or conduct.
3) The Stop Safeguarding Now Coalition Forum is only available to:
3.1) Citizens in Great Britain and Northern Ireland,
3.1.2) Citizens over the age of 18 years old,
3.1.3) You MUST NOT work, volunteer or otherwise be affilliated with a Local Authority, Social Services or the Police or have ever done so in the past. You are NOT welcome - even if you have been affected by Safeguarding because you choose to work for organisations that allow injustice - tough,
3.1.4) Journalists must not register here for journalistic purposes as our members have a right to confidentiality. We welcome media enquiries through our main website though,
4) Everyone that has registered here fully engages their Article 10 EcHR rights.
5) With reference to laws within England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland:
5.1) You agree not to post any:
5.1.1) Abuse directed at other members,
5.1.2) Obscenities, directed at other members,
5.1.3) Sexually-Orientated content (swearing is fine),
5.1.4) Otherwise discriminatory content about other members,
5.1.5) Anything that identifies you, your family members or friends including using a username containing your or their real identity.
5.2) Breaching these rules may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned, with notification of your Internet Service Provider if deemed required by us. In the case of Police or Social Services registering, you are guaranteed to be banned. The IP address of all posts are recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. If you use a username that identifies you, your family or your friends, we reserve the right to change your username and modify any posts to remove identifying information. This always, however, remains your sole responsibility.
5.3) You agree that “Stop Safeguarding Now Coalition Forum” have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic, permanently or temporarily, at any time and at our discretion.
5.4) As a forum participant, you agree to any information you have entered to being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, neither “Stop Safeguarding Now Coalition Forum” nor phpBB shall be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised, despite our best endeavours to avoid this.
