The Stop Safeguarding Now Coalition is a space for families, by families.
Our membership is strictly reserved for those who have lived experience of state overreach and those who support our mission to dismantle the current safeguarding regime. To ensure the safety and privacy of our members, we have a firm “Conflict of Interest” policy regarding who can join.
1. The Public Sector Exclusion If you are currently employed by or volunteer with, or have previously been employed by or volunteered with a Local Authority, the NHS, the Police, any agency that carries out statutory “safeguarding” duties or more widely for the national or local government, you are not eligible for membership.
This includes, but is not limited to Social Workers, Guardians, Doctors, and Public Sector Lawyers being wholly unwelcome.
This exclusion applies to public sector employees and volunteers even if you feel you have been personally “affected” by the system. By choosing to volunteer or work for these institutions, you are part of the machinery that our members are fighting to escape. We do not allow the state’s “foot soldiers” into the rooms where Survivors of the State seek support and stand in solidarity against sadism.
Indirect and “Arms-Length” Workers and Volunteers Membership is also prohibited for those volunteering or working for private contractors, voluntary organisations, or charities that are funded by the public sector. If your salary is paid or you donate your time—directly or indirectly—to the very system that labels and detains our elders, vulnerable adults and children, you cannot be a member of this coalition.
3. Fraudulent Registration Attempting to join the SSNC by providing false information regarding your employment or volunteering history is a breach of our terms. We view attempted “undercover” registration by public sector staff or volunteers as a form of institutional spying. We utilize various means to protect our Members.
4. What about Journalists? As stated in our Journalist FAQ, Journalists and media creators are welcome to engage with us via our contact form, but they cannot join as Members. We maintain a strict firewall between those who may wish to finally report the news and those who live it.
5. Like-Minded Groups We welcome other grassroots organizations and campaign groups to join the coalition as Coalition Members. If your group is fighting the same battle and is independent of state funding, we welcome you.
Our Promise: We are 100% independent. We do not take a penny of government money, which is why we can speak the truths that “state-approved” charities are too afraid to mention.
